A wide universe, a little room for you

A relaxing virtual space walk

Walk around a tiny planet, then change your view from Earth to distant stars and the galaxy. There is no need to keep talking or finishing tasks. You can simply stay and watch the sky.

Rest with other travelers

Wave to people visiting the same planet. Click a nearby traveler to follow them or offer your hand. Hand holding starts only when the other person accepts. Share the view at your own pace.

Meet the star friends

The Little Prince and purple Nubi live on M-07. Other neighboring worlds have their own friends. Walk close and click them to talk. These characters are NPCs, separate from real visitors.

Travel to neighboring planets

Collect materials or make shared fuel with alchemy, then fill the ship’s ten fuel slots. Choose M-07, M-08 or M-09. After a destination is chosen, the boarding countdown lasts ten seconds. Each one-way trip uses a full tank; refuel on the visited world before returning.

Choose music for your visit

The default music follows the local time of your connection region. Morning: Eternity; daytime: Intractable; afternoon: Funkorama; night: Late Night Radio. Choose any available track or mute the sound from the speaker button. Saved manual choices are respected.

Notice small things

Hold a nearby resource for two seconds to collect it; it returns after three minutes. Rest on a bed under the open tent, or use the camera button to save a picture of your view.

Watch Earth from space through the telescope

Approach the telescope to the right of the whiteboard and click it. Its circular eyepiece stays in one place while you pan left, right, up or down and change magnification. Choose Earth, the Sun, Mars, Saturn, Neptune or a neighboring fictional world.

Zoom into Earth to load historical satellite imagery for the area in view. The primary source is the 2016 Sentinel-2 cloudless composite at approximately 10m resolution. If its initial connection fails, NASA/USGS Landsat imagery from 1999 at approximately 31m is used. These are historical images, without live maps, Street View or 3D buildings.

For virtual stargazing, select Sirius, Vega, Betelgeuse or Polaris. Their catalog directions use J2000 coordinates. Stars remain unresolved points; the scene is not a precision astronomy instrument.

Satellite imagery and star sources

Choose “Open star map” in the top toolbar to explore stars around the Sun. The view uses frozen HYG v4.1 J2000.0 position and distance records: 100,000 stars in normal graphics and 32,000 in light graphics.

Start a space walk in your browser

  1. Open wouldyou? No download or account is required. The camera approaches the little planet through the Milky Way. Touch the screen or use a control to take over. Sound starts when your browser permits it, or after your first interaction.
  2. Walk and look around On a computer, click the ground or use WASD and arrow keys to walk. Drag to look around and use the wheel to zoom. On a phone, tap the ground, drag with one finger and pinch with two.
  3. Choose your own pace Try Superman, Wave, Earth or Bag in the bottom controls. Walk close to a character or resource to interact. Use the telescope’s arrows, drag and zoom controls for observation.
  4. Set sound and picture The top speaker controls music, ambient sound and volume. Settings adjust graphics and motion. The camera button saves a picture. The interface language can also be changed in Settings.

Questions about wouldyou?

Is this a free social space?

wouldyou? is a free browser-based 3D social space for relaxing on a tiny planet, watching Earth and stars, and spending time with other travelers. Optional one-time support helps development. It does not unlock observation features or items.

Do I need to install an app or create an account?

No installation or signup is required. You need a browser with JavaScript and WebGL 2. Graphics performance and compatibility depend on your device and browser.

Can I zoom into real satellite images of Earth?

Yes. Close telescope observation loads the 2016 Sentinel-2 cloudless composite at approximately 10m resolution. Initial connection failures switch to NASA/USGS Landsat imagery from 1999 at approximately 31m. These are historical composites rather than current street-level maps. Full sources and licenses are on the image credits page.

Which planets and stars can I observe?

The telescope offers Earth, the Sun, Mars, Saturn, Neptune, neighboring fictional worlds, and the catalog stars Sirius, Vega, Betelgeuse and Polaris. Star directions use J2000 coordinates. Stars appear as points, without invented surface images.

Are the sounds recordings from space?

The ambient sound is synthesized, imagining airflow and vibration inside a spacesuit. Licensed music is separate. Choose music with ambient sound, ambient sound only, or mute from the speaker button. Music credits list each track’s source and license.

Are the other travelers real people?

Travelers in the visitor list are real people connected to the space. The Little Prince, Nubi and the other star friends are NPCs. Meeting real travelers requires a live connection; the visitor panel shows connection availability.

Where is my progress saved?

Preferences, guest identity, collected materials and local friendship progress continue in this browser. Clearing browser data or changing devices may lose that progress. Account-linked cloud saving is not currently provided.

Is the universe shown at its real scale?

This is a fictional space arranged for walking and enjoying the view. Some planetary images and star directions come from real sources, but distances and sizes are adapted. It is not a scale model of the universe or a precision scientific simulator.

Sources and the people behind the space

HongSimdang operates wouldyou?. Satellite imagery and catalog star positions have documented sources, while the walkable planets and their layout are artistic. Ambient audio is synthesized; each music track has its own published source and license.
